Contract Management Methodology

At Economy Glass, we understand the award of a contract, or the receipt of a purchase order, is entrusting us with the responsibility to manage that portion of the project. We understand we need to perform to expectations in a proficient and professional manner. That is our job!

With that in mind, we have developed a comprehensive written contract management system designed to be totally pro-active and inclusive of all items required to complete the project as scheduled, and as designed.

We have created an atmosphere where our Project Coordinators are just that, project coordinators only, with one specifically assigned and responsible for each project we take on.

It begins with the formulation of a “Master List” that chronologically sets out and dates every action required from start to finish based on the construction schedule presented. This list is prepared within five working days of approved shop drawings and any scheduling issues uncovered will be presented to you immediately for action.

From the daily maintenance of the Job Coordination Schedule, to the weekly production meetings with Managers, your project is reviewed and updated daily to ensure our responsibility to manage this  portion of your construction project is fulfilled each and every time.

This is true no matter how large or small the job is.

Upon award, the lead estimator and the assigned Project Coordinator meet to complete the master list. It is a truly “complete” list of all items required to finish the job with “critical dates” assigned based on the proposed construction schedule. We understand it is our responsibility to ensure these critical dates are met and dealt with.

Each project is assigned a qualified supervisor whose responsibility becomes to ensure the integrity of the approved shop drawings, and to do what is necessary to ensure the critical dates are met on site. The Project Coordinator and Site Supervisor commit to attend all relevant site meetings scheduled, we understand how important these meetings are to your overall management of the project.

We implement a written “Project Finish List” at that stage of the installation where it becomes necessary to focus our installers on cleaning up and finishing the project, to inspect the site to ensure there are no deficiencies within our scope of the contract.

We are totally committed to doing whatever is necessary to understand and carry out our responsibilities for each project award from start to finish.

We understand this is why you hire us.
